Placed between Hurghada and Marsa Alam, Qusayr used to be a predominant port. Many people traveled from there to the land of Punt to purchase ivory, leather-based products and incense. For the period of the Ottoman and the Islamic ages, Egyptians and Muslims from North Africa traveled from Qusayr as pilgrims to Mecca. It used to be the additional one port importing espresso from Yemen. For the period of the French occupation of Egypt, Qusayr was the factor for Arabs and Muslims from Hegaz coming to fight beside the Mamalic in opposition to the French army. The major places in Qusayr are the castles and the water reservoir.

An important place

Sharm El Naga also has its significance. A village, around forty km (25 mi) south of Hurghada is a seaside with a stunning reef cliff.
Resorts popular to travelers
A privately owned luxury hotel town, about 25 km north of Hurghada is a quiet and serene town including a few islands separated by channels. They are connected by using bridges. Apart from the 14 resorts and three marinas, there are also 2200 private villas and flats, while many extra ones are being built. It’s being promoted as Egypt’s Venice. It’s developed in front of a 10 km beachfront and has distinct and numerous structures erected too.

El Gouna provides diving and watersports facilities, horse stables, go-kart facilities, game arcades, bazaars, an extensive options of eating places and bars, night time clubs, an internet cafe, four bank branches, many automated teller machines (ATMs), two pharmacies, the El Gouna international college, El Gouna country wide institutions, a nursery, a private health center, three marinas, a library, an airport, one of several casinos on the Red Sea coast, an exclusive radio station, a place for work, a museum, real estate places of recreation and an 18-hole golf path designed by Gene Bates with a specified aqua riding range.
A visitor’s beachfront can be found in Giftun Island. Travel time may reach 45 minutes by using boat from Hurghada.
